CRADALL is delighted to share news of an exhibition taking place in the St Andrews Building (Level 5 Gallery Space) at the University of Glasgow, from 31/10/2025 to 14/11/2025.
Weaving the Web of Peace: Common Threads Between Us
This exhibition celebrates over 40 years of The Gareloch Horts, a women's non-violent direct action peace group who campaign and act for the abolition of nuclear weapons in the UK. The exhibition details our actions alongside key political events for context. The exhibition was first shown at Glasgow Women’s Library in August 2023. The exhibition opens on Friday 31st October 2025 at 4pm and is available to visit Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm until the 14th November. See below and attached flyer.
This exhibition showcases the work of the Gareloch Horts as both makers of art and seekers of peaceful ways of living. It aligns with one of CRADALL's core themes - adult, lifelong and community learning for peaceful coexistence. It also contributes to one of CRADALL's core purposes - celebrating learning and development in all its forms, including informal and community. CRADALL is sponsoring the exhibtion launch, which will take place on Friday 31st October at 4pm. Soft drinks and finger food will be available.
A programme of activities focussed on peace building and peace education ‘‘Wee pieces for peace’’ are planned during throughout the exhibiton: we will dad these to htis webpage as the programme develops.
This exhibition is open to all - please do come along!
