Are you interested in competence-based adult education and strategies to enhance lifelong learning? Do you wish to gain more insight in the competences and skills European adults need to participate in today’s society?
Center for Adult Education Antwerp and GO! onderwijs van de Vlaamse Gemeenschap invite you to the BeE-conference in Brussels on Thursday 13th November 2014.
We start the day by highlighting the importance of the basic competences and skills an adult needs for learning, living and working in Europe: reading and writing (literacy skills), numeric skills, motivation, autonomy, lifelong learning and active citizenship. You will find out more about the results and outcomes of the project BeE and listen to interesting keynote speakers.
In the afternoon you will experience some of the learning strategies and activities developed within the BeE project through interactive workshops.
Background
BeE is a project funded by the European Commission. Partners from Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Italy, Malta and Spain participate in the project. They developed a workshop for educational staff which helps them to support their learners. The workshop is designed to be used as an actual course for educational staff and learners, but it can also be used by self-learners.
All the materials are downloadable from the BeE website. It consists of 7 interrelated modules. During the conference in Brussels, you can participate in two workshops.
