The EIB Institute is organising the third edition of its Social Innovation Tournament, a flagship initiative of its Social Programme.

The Social Innovation Tournament promotes the generation of innovative ideas in the fight against social exclusion. lt therefore covers projects in a wide range of fields - from education, health care and the natural or urban environment, through new technologies, new systems, and new processes. Improvements in these fields are critical to business success, and social innovation could have a substantial social impact.

All projects compete for a General Category 1st and 2nd Prize of EUR25,000 and EUR10,000 respectively. Projects concerning the urban or natural environment will also compete for the Special Category Prize of EUR25,000. Further awards include vouchers entitl ing a number of projects and their teams to benefit from subsequent coaching/mentoring services.

Who can apply? Individuals or teams from (or residing in) the European Union Member States, Candidate and Potential Candidate countries or the EFTA countries may submit proposals to be implemented in one or more of these countries.
